Field Experience

My various field experiences have provided me with opportunities to learn and grow my practice so that I can become an effective teacher to my students!

Service Learning

I taught at Mound Park Elementary in a third grade diverse classroom. In this classroom I taught students one-on-one. I also taught whole group lessons. I graded assignments and tests.

Pre-Student Teaching

I taught at Graham Elementary in a first grade classroom. During this experience I taught small group centers and provided whole group instruction. I worked with a diverse group of students and even developed a behavior chart for one of the students in the classroom. I attended parent teacher conferences as well.

Practicum Experience

I taught at Wing Lake Developmental Center in a severly multiply impaired (SXI) room of three to six year olds. In this experience I worked one-on-one with a student targeting their goals. I created an assessment and tested this student as well. I learned how to use specific equipment for individual student's needs. I learned how the teacher and paraprofessionals target each student's goals and how to document their growth.

I planned lessons for the week and evaluated student performance. I attended parent teacher conferences. I also attended staff meetings and professional development.
